Palliative Care Providers
Our Palliative Care specialists focus on providing relief from symptoms such as pain, trouble breathing, nausea, constipation, weakness, depression and anxiety and difficulty sleeping that will likely occur with serious illness. Cornerstone's palliative care specialists will always begin the planning of care by discussing the goals and priorities of the patient and then mapping out a care plan to meet those goals. Palliative care is based on the needs of the patient, not on the patient’s prognosis. This type of care is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided at the same time someone is receiving curative treatment. You can count on Cornerstone Palliative Care to provide you with education specific to your illness. And as part of your team, you'll have a social worker assigned to help you navigate the options you have as resources and give the patient and family the emotional support that is so vital.
Cornerstone’s team of Palliative Care providers work with several Central Florida Hospitals and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
