Bear In Mind Program

Bear In Mind Program

If you love to sew, Bear in Mind is a wonderful and rewarding project to be involved in. Each bear is unique and custom made with the individual patient in mind. Each is constructed completely out of memory material (garments and accessories) provided by the family for their special bear.

The Bear in Mind Program creates special memory bears to help bring healing and comfort to families. These special memory bears can provide a sense of comfort to those who are grieving. Cornerstone Hospice Bear in Mind volunteers have the privilege of crafting the bears from garments once worn by the patient, such as a favorite shirt, sweater, dress or blouse. These garments are transformed into memorable teddy bears by our volunteer seamstresses.

Becoming a volunteer with Cornerstone Hospice is rewarding in itself. If you can sew, you can become a volunteer today. You can also help by donating to the Bear in Mind Program.
