Even though Cornerstone does receive payment from insurance companies or Medicare for the daily care of patients, there are great needs that are not part of that payment plan.

Probably the BIGGEST REASON to donate is that there are many people who are not yet qualified for Medicare/Medicaid or who do not have insurance to cover the cost of their hospice care. Your donation to the Cornerstone Foundation meets that need.

As a non-profit hospice, Cornerstone's focus is on making sure all who follow a recommendation for hospice can get the care they desire and deserve, regardless their ability to pay.

Some of the items your donation covers include:

  • Charity care or under-reimbursed care
  • Medications, therapies and the comfort items not covered by insurance
  • Education programs for family members and volunteers
  • Specialized medical equipment
  • Bereavement services and spiritual care
